Our world is so incredible that it can never be described solely in words, its grandeur will mesmerize you many times, but one thing you can be sure: the more places you visit, the more you get inspired, learn more about different cultures and get to a better understanding about history, nature, life, social environment and so on.
With this article I will start a travel series in order to discover more and more amazing places that are worth exploring. Hopefully it will inspire everybody to look above the material things and encourage them to go out, wander, explore, take pictures and enjoy the beautiful world we live in.
10. Havasupai Falls, Grand Canyon, USA
This place is a hidden oasis for hiking-lovers, as it requires 8-10 miles hike, depending on the location you start from. It is difficult to get reservations for the campgrounds but the waterfalls are renowned for its amazing blue waters.
9. Twelve Apostles, Great Ocean Road, Australia
Located at almost 3 hours drive from Melbourne, Twelve Apostles is a collection of limestone stacks off the shore of the Port Campbell National Park . There are only 8 apostles left, but the name is significant for the Australian Tourism.
8. Yangshuo, Guangxi, China
This small city in Southern China is surrounded by karst mountains, winding rivers and beautiful scenery and is a great place to start if you want to explore. There you can have activities like bamboo rafting and rock climbing, all while wandering at the famous ¥20 scene.
7. Hobbiton Movie Set, New Zealand
For a Middle Earth adventure, this place will take you into the Lord of The Rings World. When Peter Jackson visited the spot, he thought it looked like ancient England. There are several tours available to offer you a unique experience and there is even an evening banquet.
6. Colmar, Alsace, France
Considered to be the “capital of Alsatian wine”, this well-preserved city is renowned for its Germanic and French architecture. Colmar’s old town is the main attraction, and the best way to visit the city is to wander the streets or take a boat trip on the canal from Little Venice.
5. Eltz Castle, Germany
This castle is Instagram-famous and it’s considered the most beautiful in Germany. It is located in the hills above Moselle River and it is still owned by the original family(Eltz) that lives in a part of the castle. You can arrive there by taking a tour bus, or by hiking for about 15 minutes.
4. Big Sur, California, USA
Considered to be the most beautiful place in California, this magnificent place can be accessed from the coastal highway. Gray whales migrate past twice a year, and elephant seals bask on the sandy shores. A popular tourist destination, Big Sur is an area without formal boundries and it offers hiking, mountain climbing, and other outdoor activities.
3. Val di Funes, Italy
This small village is located in Trentino-Alto Adige region in northern Italy. It is renowned for the spectacular views of Dolomiti Mountains and the peaceful surroundings.
2. Bryce National Park, Utah, USA
Despite its name, the place is actually a giant natural amphitheater and it is located in southwestern Utah. Bryce is distinctive due to geological structures called hoodoos, formed by frost weathering and stream erosion of the river and lake bed sedimentary rocks.
1. Morraine Lake, Alberta, Canada
Moraine Lake is a glacially fed lake in Banff National Park, and it is located at at an elevation of approximately 6,183 feet (1,885 m). It is a very popular place among hikers and it’s renowned for its distinctive clear blue water.
